About PAC Savannah

The Performing Arts Collective (PAC) of Savannah is a collaborative made up of prominent groups in the community: Eastside Players, Abeni Cultural Arts, Spitfire Artists, and Warzone. Each organization has rooted itself in the city’s culture and have now come together to combine creative energy found in its acting, dancing, poetry, and music genres.

The Performing Arts Collective of Savannah has presented a variety of musicals, plays, and concerts in and around Savannah, providing an outlet in the arts for those individuals who would otherwise not be exposed. Its aim is to introduce the city to another dimension of theater production, a new level of artistry which will open more hearts and minds to the wonderment of the stage.

The Performing Arts Collective of Savannah puts on events throughout the calendar year. Across each individual group, PAC provides entertainment and cultural teaching by engaging in workshops, public and private performances, and individual showcases, which go on year-round. Each month of the year, there is an event being provided by either the PAC or one of the entities of PAC.

PAC Savannah was founded in July 2010 by Muriel Miller, Clinton D. Powell, and Gary Swindell Sr.

Our Missions

PAC SAVANNAH MISSION

To cultivate the education, enhancement, and awareness of Black American performing arts in our communities, removing stigmas and changing lives through production and performance. Directing, producing, training, mentoring, and encouraging local artists from all backgrounds and cultures; to come together to achieve success in creating an inclusive environment for artistic expression.

EASTSIDE PLAYERS MISSION

To encourage, celebrate, and enhance theatrical work for stage and or broadcast media. East Side Players provides local actors the opportunity to discover and express their talents through professional training and performance. We are committed to creating an environment of self-discovery and creative exploration inspired by the imperative need for diversity in our community which is largely influenced by Black culture.

ABENI CULTURAL ARTS MISSION

To encourage artists of various genres to nurture and challenge their passion for their art. We do this by fostering the creation of engaging, meaningful, and culturally significant programs. Abeni believes that it is essential to establish an atmosphere in which students and instructors have artistic choices, share in the artistic process, and learn the value of artistic expression.

SPITFIRE ARTISTS MISSION

To foster the professional development of Savannah’s adult spoken word and performing arts community. Through creative workshops, cultural productions, and content creation Spitfire uplifts the city’s vibrant literary scene while nurturing an atmosphere that encourages new and veteran artists to use creativity as a tool of empowerment and togetherness.

WARZONE PRODUCTIONS MISSION

Warzone productions will advocate for these artists, encouraging musical talent from multifarious genres and cultures.
